SILSBEE, Texas — Two Silsbee elementary schools are on a precautionary lockout Friday morning.

Both Silsbee Elementary and Laura Reeves Primary School are on lockout as of 9:15 a.m. Friday, Oct. 4, Silsbee ISD spokesperson Daniel Elizondo said.

The lockout was issued as a precautionary measure immediately after a Silsbee Police officer pulled over a car and the driver in the car ran towards the schools, Elizondo said.
