SILSBEE — Firefighters from Silsbee and several other volunteer fire departments extinguished a house fire north of Silsbee on Thursday.
No one was home at the time and there were no injuries after the fire caused extensive damage tothe home according to Brad Penisson of the Silsbee Volunteer Fire Department.
Firefighters were dispatched the fire, in the 2500 block of Neyland Road northwest of Silsbee, at about 11:46 a.m. according to Penisson.

Silsbee firefighters were assisted at the scene by crews fro the Kountze and Evadale Volunteer Fire Departments and the Lumberton Volunteer Fire Department stood by at their station in case of another call Penisson said.
