A Hardin county man is in custody after he led police on a car chase in a stolen vehicle Saturday morning.
According to Hardin County Sheriff Mark Davis it started when Sour Lake Police pulled over a “suspicious vehicle.”
The suspect drove off and led police on a chase through Hardin, Jefferson and Liberty county.
The suspect ended up crashing in a ditch on Highway 105 in Batson just inside the limits of Liberty County.
Deputies said the Chevy Tahoe was reported stolen in Jasper County.
The suspect is in custody at the Hardin county jail. He will be charged with evading arrest, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and possible other charges.
Sheriff Davis said the driver will be arraigned in front of a judge Sunday morning.
