PORT ARTHUR, Texas — A number of events are planned for the community at CHRISTUS Hospital St. Mary in Port Arthur to celebrate its legacy before it closes in July.

  • On Friday, June 28, from noon to 2 p.m., community members can attend 'St. Mary Burger Day.' Guests can 'give thanks for the best burger in town one last time' in the St. Mary cafeteria by ordering a burger, chips and a drink. 
  • On Tuesday, July 9, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., the community can attend the final mass at St. Mary Chapel to 'honor the spiritual legacy of the hospital.'
  • On Tuesday, July 16, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., there will be a community-wide mass and luncheon at St. James Church 'honoring the history and legacy of St. Mary Hospital.'
