MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Shelby County said there were 1,613 new cases Monday. That makes a total of 204,741 cases and 2,808 deaths in the county since the pandemic began.
The department said 410 of the new cases are pediatric, and there are currently 6,736 active pediatric cases. There have been a total of 39,606 pediatric cases during the pandemic.
The 7-day rolling average for cases in Shelby County is 1,950, with a total of 548,355 people vaccinated in the county. Find more HERE.
The State of Tennessee reports an average of 13,503 new cases per day and 31 new deaths per day for the week of January 2, 2022 through January 8, 2022. There are a total of 1,540,515 cases and 21,095 deaths in the state since the start of the pandemic.
The State of Mississippi reports 9,300 new COVID-19 cases and 19 new deaths Friday, for a total of 634,628 cases and 10,625 deaths in the state since the beginning of the pandemic.
Desoto County has a total of 41,451 cases and 463 deaths in the county.
The Arkansas Department of Health said there were 3,600 new cases and 3 new deaths Monday. The total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic is 684,776 and 9,437 total deaths.
