Port Arthur Police investigate after man shot in hand Sunday night

The shooting happened at the Louis Manor Apartment Complex in the 1300 block of Joe Louis Avenue.

PORT ARTHUR, Texas — Police in Port Arthur are investigating after a man was shot in the hand Sunday night.

Officers were dispatched to the emergency room at Christus St. Mary Hospital after a shooting victim arrived at the hospital and found a 19-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to his hand according to a release from the Port Arthur Police Department.

The shooting happened at the Louis Manor Apartment Complex in the 1300 block of Joe Louis Avenue according to police who are continuing to investigate the shooting.

On March 24, 2019 at 10:30 p.m., Officers with the Port Arthur Police Department responded to St. Mary’s Emergency Room in reference to a shooting victim. 

Through their investigation, Officers discovered that a 19 year old male Hispanic Port Arthur Resident was shot once in the hand. 

The shooting occurred at Louis Manor Apartment Complex, 1300 Joe Louis Avenue. 

This case is currently being investigated by the Port Arthur Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division.
