PORT ARTHUR, Texas — One man is in custody and charged with child abuse, Port Arthur police announced Friday.  

Port Arthur Police arrested Kendrick Deshawn Bailey, 26, Wednesday, Nov. 13. 

Bailey was taken to the Jefferson County Correctional Facility where he was being held on a $250,000 bond, as well as a second charge of injury to a child with bond set at $500,000. 

Port Arthur Police Detective Mike Hebert said Bailey is charged with assaulting a three-year-old child who was listed in critical condition. 

This case is currently under investigation by Port Arthur Police Department's Criminal Investigation's Division.
