NEDERLAND — A spokesperson for the sheriff's office says four men robbed and beat the owner of a game room at 2150 Stillwater Dr. in Nederland around 4:30 a.m. on Friday. The suspects took an undisclosed amount of cash, according to a news release.
The men tried to flee in a black four-door Nissan Versa and fled to Highway 69 according to the release. They were chased by the owner according to the spokesperson. She said during the chase, the men shot toward the owner's vehicle and the chase went for five miles.
The owner was on a 911 call while chasing the suspects, according to the release.
The vehicle wrecked on Saxe and the suspects fled on foot according to the release. One of the men, 19-year-old Jamon Brooks of Port Arthur, is in custody and was booked in on warrants stemming from two burglaries in Port Arthur according to the release.
The judge has set "No Bond," and the investigation is ongoing according to the release.

This morning around 4:30 a.m., a game room located at 2150 Stillwater, Nederland, Texas was robbed at gunpoint. The male owner advised that 4 black males entered into the game room and demanded cash. They assaulted the owner and stole an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspects ran to a black 4 door Nissan Versa and fled to Hwy 69. The owner jumped into his vehicle and chased them while on the phone with 911. He told dispatch that they were shooting at him. An off-duty Sheriff’s Deputy working an extra job was able to quickly locate them and chased the suspect vehicle to 1280 Saxe. The vehicle wrecked on Saxe and the suspects fled on foot. The Deputy arrested one of the suspects on scene. The other 3 are still at large.
The suspect that is in custody is 19 year old Jamon Brooks of Port Arthur. He was booked in on warrants stemming from 2 Burglaries committed in Port Arthur. Additional charges stemming from this Aggravated Robbery are pending. The Judge has set “No Bond.” The investigation is on-going. We are attempting to obtain video of the Robbery and will post it if we can access it.
