BEAUMONT, Texas — Several car break-ins happened in the early morning hours at Lamar University on Thursday according to a spokesperson for the university.
Shelly Vitanza, Director of Public Affairs for Lamar University, says as many as 11 cars were broken into during the string of break-ins between 3 and 4 a.m.
12News spoke with students on campus, and some say they aren't surprised.
Vitanza says that so far no one has been linked to the break-ins but they are urged all students on campus to lock all car doors and take personal belongings out of the vehicle.
