Prosecutors and defense attorneys spent the day trying to pick a jury to hear this capital murder case.

Coleman repeatedly told 12News after he was arrested in 2017 that he was not the killer and had not seen Dungan the night of her death.

Prosecutors said he kidnapped Dungan, tied her up and sexually assaulted her before killing her.

Her body was found at Collier's Ferry Park in Beaumont.

Jury selection is set to continue Tuesday morning.
