BEAUMONT — Beaumont police are searching for a gunman that robbed the Furniture Mart in the 3800 block of Stagg drive.
The robbery was reported just after 8 a.m. Monday. A witness told 12News she was walking along the feeder road toward Furniture Mart and noticed a man covering his face with some sort of cloth. She locked her car doors and called police.
An officer on the scene told 12News the lone robber was armed with a pistol. He went into the store as it was opening.
Employee's say he took about 8 thousand dollars of cash and fled on foot.
Detectives are reviewing surveillance video.
No injuries were reported.
