Deputies searching for armed men who robbed Nederland convenience store, possibly one other store

The two men, one of whom was armed with a silver revolver, entered Dan's Food Mart in the 3800 block of Twin City Highway at about 9:20 p.m. with their shirts pulled up over their faces and demanded cash according to a release from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.

NEDERLAND — Jefferson County deputies are looking for two masked men who robbed a Nederland convenience store at gunpoint Wednesday night.

The two men, one of whom was armed with a silver revolver, entered Dan's Food Mart in the 3800 block of Twin City Highway at about 9:20 p.m. with their shirts pulled up over their faces and demanded cash according to a release from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.

From a Jefferson County Sheriff's Office news release...

On Wednesday July 25, 2018 at 9:20 pm, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office received a call that an Armed Robbery had just occurred at Dan’s Food Mart located at 3819 N. Twin City Hwy in Nederland, Texas.

Two thin black males with shirts over their faces entered the store and demanded money from the store clerk.

The first suspect was wearing a gold long sleeve shirt, black Adidas wind pants, and exhibited a silver revolver pistol.

The second suspect was wearing a varsity athlete style gray jacket with green sleeves and “S P” on the front, blue jeans and black Nike sandals.

The suspects appeared to be in their late teens or early twenties.

After taking money, they exited the store and fled on foot down 6th Ave. towards the back of the store.

None of the patrons or clerks were harmed during the robbery.

During the investigation, Detectives discovered that two subjects matching the description of those who robbed Dan’s Food Mart might have also attempted to rob the Crossroads Convenience store at 2521 N Twin City Hwy in Nederland on July 19, 2018.

Fortunately the clerk had the front door locked and the two would be robbers were not able to enter the store.

While leaving, one of them pulled his mask off and was caught by surveillance cameras.

Detectives are hoping that someone can identify the suspects.
