Police: Beaumont woman shot in head by father of her daughter's unborn child, affidavit says

Police were called to the 1300 block of Church Street, where they found Pamela Thibodeaux, laying on the ground with a gunshot wound in her head.

BEAUMONT, Texas — Police have arrested a suspect accused of shooting a 37-year-old Beaumont woman on Saturday night, who later died of her injuries.

Police were called to the 1300 block of Church Street, where they found Pamela Thibodeaux, laying on the ground with a gunshot wound in her head according to a probable cause affidavit.

Dion Lenoire was arrested on Monday evening in a south end home in Beaumont.

One witness, Thibodeaux's daughter, told police on the day of the shooting she saw a white Cadillac and a gray Dodge Charger driving in front of the house according to the document. 

She said she recognized both, and that the Charger belonged to the mother of her unborn child's father, Lenoire, according to the affidavit. 

Thibodeaux's daughter said both women were sitting inside the home when shots were fired from inside the Charger, and she heard Thibodeaux fall on the the floor on her back according to the document. 

Lenoire is held on a $500,000 bond.

Investigators haven't said what led up to the shooting.
