BEAUMONT, Texas — A body was found in a dumpster off of Old Sour Lake Road on Saturday afternoon, the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said in a news release. 

A Union Pacific employee called the sheriff's office around 3:26 p.m. after finding the 'badly decomposed' body in a dumpster on the rail yard property in the 10700 block of Old Sour Lake Road, The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said. 

The property is west of Beaumont's Gulf Terrace Park. 

Deputies were called to the scene, along with Judge Ray  Chesson, who ordered an autopsy.

This afternoon at 3:26 p.m., The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office received a call from a Union Pacific employee who reported that he had just found a badly decomposed body in a dumpster on the Rail Yard Property in the 10700 block of Old Sour Lake Road. Deputies responded to the scene as well as Judge Chesson. Judge Chesson ordered an autopsy. No further information at this time.
