BEAUMONT — Beaumont Police arrested a 15-year-old suspect in the Kroger carjacking case last month.
The 15-year-old was arrested Friday night and charged with aggravated robbery. He was on juvenile probation for a similar crime earlier this year, police said.
Beaumont Police said the carjacking took place at the Kroger on Phelan Boulevard. Witnesses told 911 dispatch a gray Nissan sedan was stolen from the gas station at Kroger and went east on Phelan Boulevard at 5:23 p.m. Nov. 28.
The victim was pumping gas into her vehicle when the suspect asked her for a ride and she said no. The suspect then jumped in her vehicle and took off. The owner of the car was knocked to the ground.
