GoFundMe created to help Silsbee volunteer firefighter's family, funeral set for Saturday

Angie Brown lost her battle with stage four lymphatic cancer. A GoFundMe was created to help the family cover funeral service costs.

SILSBEE, Texas — A GoFundMe account has been started to help raise funds to help with funeral costs for a Silsbee volunteer firefighter who lost her battle with cancer. 

Angie Brown was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2018, and weeks ago found she had stage four lymphatic cancer. She died on Tuesday, June 4.

Brown was a volunteer firefighter with the Silsbee Fire Department, a business owner and an actor. 

A fellow firefighter told 12News the funeral is set for 2 p.m. at Silsbee High School and the burial will take place at Franks Branch Cemetery in Fred.
