GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. — In the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic and with the recent riots causing food deserts in some neighborhoods, Second Harvest Heartland is working to make sure hungry Minnesotans can access the food they need, during this increase in emergency food assistance.
Second Harvest Heartland, Alerus Financial Corporation, and KARE 11 are working together to ensure that kids who are home from school and families facing hardships during this time don't go hungry! Every $1 donated equals 3 meals for our hungry neighbors.
With over $125,000 raised, Alerus has generously offered to match the next $50,000 donated through this campaign. That means that every $1 you donate will provide 6 meals to those in need in our community thanks to this match. In addition, Alerus will be donating an additional $50,000 to support local food shelves and homelessness across the community.
Donate now to help our community stay safe and keep their pantries full during this tough time!
