Beaumont police looking for 'person of interest' in hit and run that injured police officer

The man police are looking for may have serious injuries from the crash.

BEAUMONT, Texas — Beaumont Police are looking for a person of interest in the hit and run accident that seriously injured a police officer July 3. 

Detectives said they are searching for Travon Warren Gibson. He may have several serious injuries caused from the accident, police said.

A Beaumont Police Department spokesperson said the officer did receive serious injuries but is stable and recovering. 

The wreck took place in the 8500 block of McLean Street. 

If you have information about where Gibson might be, you are asked to call Southeast Texas Crime Stoppers at 409-833-TIPS (8477). 

You could be eligible for a cash reward and all information is anonymous.

The Beaumont Police Department is asking for help in locating a person of interest in the hit & run accident where a police officer was seriously injured on July 3, 2019.

Detectives are looking for Travon Warren Gibson pictured below. If you have any information where Travon may be, please contact Southeast Texas Crime Stoppers at 409-833-TIPS (8477), you could be eligible for a cash reward and all information is anonymous.

Travon may have several serious injuries caused from the accident.
