BEAUMONT, Texas — A Beaumont business has had its property seized by a constable as a result of a civil lawsuit alleging the business didn't pay for $100,000 in goods.

The suit was filed in the Jefferson County Court at Law #1 against the business in the 7000 block of Garth Street.

A judge ruled against the company, leading to the seizure according to Miller.

The lawsuit claims around $100,000 of goods were ordered by Piping Accessories, Inc. in 2016 and were never paid for according to Taylor Miller with Reaud, Morgan & Quinn, LLP.
