BEAUMONT, Texas — New York Pizza and Pasta's owners, Wayne and Cara Holman, announced in a Saturday Facebook post that they sold their second location in downtown Beaumont to Houston’s acclaimed Chef Antoine Ware.

"With this transition, Beaumont will get an expansion of Chef Antoine’s culinary skills," the Holmans said in a Facebook post. "He intends to keep Downtown just the way everyone loves it, with the addition of a full bar and some extraordinary specials."
The chef recently purchased New York Pizza and Pasta's Calder location.
"The Calder location will continue the transition to Bocca Felice, fine Italian dining while keeping some NYPP favorites," the Holmans said.
Amid the upcoming closure, the Holmans first thanked their team who they feel have become not just their friends, but also their family for all their help.
"Without their dedication to quality food, service and entertainment, we would not have been operating since 2004 in Beaumont, and especially through the tough period since 2020," the Holmans said.
The owners then extended their thanks to their "loyal, gracious and understanding" guests who helped keep them keep the doors of the restaurant open and showed appreciation to the New York Pizza and Pasta team.
"We have met wonderful people from the area and travelers passing through; fine people who have allowed us to serve them in our restaurants, their businesses and the special events in their lives," the Holmans said.
The owners are not leaving the hospitality business entirely. Their son has been working on his new restaurant, TABLE 105, on North Main Street in Vidor.
"We will be serving our New York-style pizzas as well as a selection of casual American cuisine, beer, wine and margaritas," the Holmans said. "Look for us to open in the next two months."
