Jordan James is a reporter at 12News in Beaumont, Texas, specializing in general assignment reporting.

James, who is a recent graduate of the University of North Texas, joined the 12News team in January 2019 after completing internships at WAFB in Baton Rouge and KTVT in Dallas.

James was born and raised in Dallas but is happy to start his career and make Southeast Texas his new home.

He's a die-hard Cowboys fan and swears that Dez Bryant DID make that catch.

Along with reporting for UNT's television station, North Texas TV James also reported for the student-run North Texas Daily newspaper.

James prides himself on being a well-rounded reporter, so he became involved with writing for his local student newspaper along with working for the news station on campus.

Although Southeast Texas is a big change of scenery for James he says he's excited to call the area his new home.

James says the area seems to be filled with great people and great stories that he's looking forward to telling.

When's he's not on the prowl for stories James enjoys travel and exploring the great outdoors.

James says he's always looking to connect to new people around, don’t be a stranger. He’s always looking to connect new people and cultivate new relationships.

He's also passionate about community service and inspiring young people to attain success.
