Southeast Texas residents can register for alerts, assistance during storms

For the latest storm alerts and information users can sign up for mobile alerts from 12News by downloading the 12News App as well as signing up for the Southeast Texas Alerting Netork, or STAN.

Visit Google Play or the Apple App Store to download the 12News App and sign up opt-in to our push notifications.

City of Beaumont residents can register for text alerts from the City of Beaumont as well as The STAN from one page by visiting BeaumontTexas.gov

Residents who live anywhere in Southeast Texas can also register for emergency text alerts at STAN, the Southeast Texas Alerting Network, by visiting TheSTAN.com.

Residents may also sign up for STAN alerts by calling 1-877-THE-STAN.

The Texas Department of Public Safety operates "STEAR," the State of Texas Emergency Alert Registry that residents can sign up for online or by calling 211.
