Salvation Army will conduct interviews for hurricane relief assistance

The Salvation Army Port Arthur Corps will start conducting interviews for hurricane relief assistance this week.

Residents who may need help applying for assistance or have any questions may meet with Salvation Army volunteers.

They will meet on the following days:

Mondays - last names stating with A-F

Tuesdays - last names starting with G-K

Wednesdays - last names starting with L-Q

Thursdays - last names starting with R-Z

Make sure to bring:

 

  • Photo identification (Driver's license, state-issued ID card, etc)
  • FEMA Identification Number (1-800-621-FEMA or www.fema.gov)
  • Proof of disaster related damage: FEMA assessment report, Insurance damage report or a valid quote from a qualified service provider including nature of service needed, cost of services and written verification from the service provider that the damage is the result of the disaster.

The Salvation Army will host meetings at 2420 Nederland Avenue in Nederland from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. according to a press release.
