Orange County lifts evacuation order

ORANGE COUNTY, Texas – Orange County’s evacuation order was lifted around 2 p.m. Sunday.

However, the county-wide curfew remains in effect from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Mosquito abatement will continue Sunday evening with aerial spray treatment in Orange County.

Patrick Beebe of the Orange County Mosquito Control District reported land rates of mosquitos have dropped to zero in some areas.

The landfill located on FM 1442 is open daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Sept. 19. Fees during this time are being waived.

Tetanus vaccinations are also being offered Monday at the Orange City Library from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Tuesday in the Pinehurst city council room located at 2497 Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
