Retirees at The Lakeshore, an Era Living community, show Aloha spirit by raising money and giving big to local firefighters and medics.
Seattle (PRWEB) August 16, 2014
Firefighters and medics at King County Fire Station 20 need supplies to effectively serve our entire south Seattle / Skyway neighborhood. That is why residents at The Lakeshore, a retirement community located at 11448 Rainier Avenue South in Seattle, are rallying neighbors, family and friends for an all-you-can-eat Hawaiian buffet fundraiser at their annual Luau on August 22nd from 2:30pm to 6pm. Tickets are $10 each and all proceeds go directly to King County Fire Station 20.
The money raised at The Lakeshores Luau goes directly into our general fund allowing us to buy medical supplies to help people in immediate need of care, says King County Fire Station 20 Public Information Officer, Dave Nelson. We are grateful for every dollar raised and see direct results from this effort right here in our greater Skyway community every day.
The luau is open to neighbors; advance reservations are appreciated. Reservations can be made by calling The Lakeshore at (206) 772-1200, or by visiting http://www.eraliving.com/communities/lakeshore.
About 250 people are expected to attend, including residents, their families, friends and neighbors. All are welcome to enjoy:
The luau is an annual tradition at The Lakeshore, and this year we decided to add more aloha spirit with the all-you-can-eat buffet to benefit the firefighters and medics in our community, says The Lakeshores Executive Director, Susanne Rossi.
With beautiful views of Mt. Rainier and Lake Washington, The Lakeshore offers a warm, vibrant lifestyle, an array of amenities, active life-enrichment programs, and exceptional Independent Living and Assisted Living care.
