Three displaced after Beaumont house fire

A spokesperson for Beaumont Fire Rescue said there are no injuries following a Monday-morning house fire.

The fire was reported around 7 a.m. at a house located at 1120 Liveoak Street in North Beaumont.

The house was heavily involved by fire when firefighters arrived.

"Firefighters initially conducted an interior fire attack, however heavy fire conditions forced firefighters to exit the structure. Fire suppression activities were then conducted from the exterior of the building and the fire was brought under control within fifteen minutes," says a news release issued after the fire.

Three people, two females and a male, were able to get out safely.  A smoke detector alerted them to the fire.

The cause of the fire appears to be a window air condition unit.

The American Red Cross was called to assist the people who live at the house.
