Burgess Hill, United Kingdom – July 24, 2014

/PressCable/ — MTS Sussex, a leading motorcycle training school with bases in Haywards Heath and East Grinstead have announced they have just opened a new location. Due to demand from students eager for motorbike lessons they have opened a new training centre in Burgess Hill, West Sussex.

From this new custom venue they will be running full motorcycle licence training – A1, A2 and DAS (Direct Access Scheme).

Owner Matthew Smithson-Birch (known as Matt), says. “I am delighted that we will be running our full licence training not far from the Burgess Hill test centre. With an on-site cafe and customer car park, we are ideally situated for all types of riding; towns, twisties and test routes too.”

With the increase in popularity of motorcycling, and the clear economic and traffic-beating benefits over cars, more and more people are opting for two wheels.

“Many of our students are already car drivers,” says Matt, “Many of them opt to buy a motorbike or a scooter as it saves money and they can commute to and from work much quicker.

“Riding a motorcycle is also incredible fun, and in Sussex we have some amazing country roads that lend themselves to exploring on a bike.”

MTS Sussex have very high standards for rider training with a maximum ratio of two students to one instructor. “We like to give the best attention to our students,” continues Matt, “and we don’t feel we can do that by stuffing our classes. The personal touch is very important and our students enjoy the fact that their instructor can give them lots of attention.

“We don’t compromise on safety and like to feel that when they leave us, having passed their test, our students are equipped for the realities of motorcyle riding, and can ride safely, courteously and enjoyably.”

Introduction and Eyesight Check – An introduction to CBT, safety clothing and equipment
Practical On-Site Training – basic safety checks, maintenance and manually moving the bike
Practical On-Site Riding – Including safely pulling away and stopping, slow speed riding, observation, manoeuvring, junctions, signalling and gear changes
Practical On-Road Training – The Highway Code, what to expect on the road and safety instructions
Practical On-Road Riding – A road ride of at least two hours accompanied by an instructor in radio contact

MTS Sussex have male and female instructors, and a high percentage of their students are women.
