Shakeology was recently put through an actual clinical trial to test its affect on overall health. The participants did not change anything else about their daily routine except for the addition of Shakeology.

/PressCable/ — Shakeology has long been touted as the “Healthiest Meal of the Day” by customers with an array of amazing success stories, but there was never really any quantifiable data to support these claims. That is until now. Shakeology was recently put through a clinical trial by Dr. Jay Udani with Medicus Research, one of the nation’s leading organizations specializing in clinical trials for natural health products.
The findings were undeniable.
Individuals chosen for the trial changed nothing in the daily routines other than drinking Shakeology during the 90 day trial. They did not increase their physical activity and they did not change anything with their diet. The only part of their lifestyle that was changed was Shakeology. This was meant to isolate the actual effect that Shakeology has on overall health.
Participants went through rigorous testing before the trial began, measuring weight, BMI, and giving blood samples for measurements of cholesterol, blood sugar, and other factors that Shakeology has been said to improve upon. After that baseline visit, the participants were monitored using a proprietary app that tracked weight and compliance every day. They were also brought in for check ups every 30 days.
Participants lost an average of 9.3 pounds during the trial with the most weight loss being 24 pounds. The most intriguing part of the weight loss was the fact that the participants continued to lose weight throughout the entire process of the study which shows that the continued use of Shakeology does result in weight loss.
The average total cholesterol was reduced by 7% during the study with a maximum of 50% reduction in total cholesterol. The total reduction actually brought the average cholesterol below the level at which they would need to be recommended to take medication.
The study also tested blood sugar. But instead of testing a single day’s blood sugar, which can vary depending on what the participants ate the previous day, the test they used looked at the average sugar over a three month span. In this study the average blood sugar level was reduced by 5% and up to 19% in some cases.
These findings are quite impressive. Especially since they were not combined with any changes in physical exercise or diet. These results are from just adding Shakeology to a regular routine.
This proves once and for all that Shakeology does in fact help you lose weight and get healthy.
