Dangerous sex offender captured thanks to Crimestoppers tip

A spokesperson for the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office has informed 12News that a Crimestoppers tip has helped officers arrest a dangerous fugitive sex offender.

Deputy Rod Carroll told 12News that Beaumont Police were able to find and arrest Courtney Joseph Walker thanks to an anonymous tip to Crimestoppers. Walker is currently in the Jefferson County Correctional Facility on a $40,000 bond.

"The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office would like to thank the community for their assistance in removing this predator from our community," said Carroll.

Monday Morning deputies were looking for Walker, 36, and released a photo showing a very distinctive Texas tattoo that Walker has on his face.  The tip led to his arrest within hours.
