Agents with the U.S. Attorney's Office, Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives along with Jasper County Sheriff's Deputies are searching an area off of County Road 786 in Buna.

Sources close to the investigation say they are looking for evidence connected to the 2010 disappearance of Joshua Parrot, 22, of Vidor.

Lawmen have drained a well in the area, but have not said what they expect to find.

12News talked to a spokesperson for the Orange County Sheriff's Office who could not confirm details of the investigation, but did say they are working with other agencies in Jasper County.

Neighbors told 12News that two people who live at the house near the area being searched are being investigated, and were taken into custody by the FBI Tuesday morning.  A spokesperson for the FBI could not confirmed that anyone is in custody.

Parrot disappeared during the Memorial Day weekend in 2010.

According to 12News file stories, Parrot was last seen going into the Country Pantry convenience store on Orange Street in Vidor.  He called his wife from the store to let her know his car was broken down.  Video from the store showed Parrot inside the store.  This was the last time he was seen.

Investigators found Parrot's car on Sargeant Street in Vidor.
