LaBelle-Fannett fire department prevents freezer fire from spreading throughout grocery store

JEFFERSON COUNTY - Firefighters with the LaBelle-Fannett fire department at 8 a.m. worked a fire at Green Acres Grocery Store located near the intersection of State Highway 124 and Greenway Drive.

A fire department spokesperson said the fire was a freezer electrical fire. 

Quick action by the fire department kept damage to the store limited to smoke damage.

No injuries were reported.
