Lightning suspected in Jefferson County house fire

Firefighters with LaBelle Fannett Volunteer Fire & EMS were called to a house fire around 5 p.m. in the 8200 block of Glenbrook Drive near the Green Acres Grocery Store. Glenbrook Drive is off of Interstate 10 about a mile west of the Goodyear Plant.

Assistant Fire Chief Henry LaBrie told 12News it is believed the fire was caused by lightning, but the cause will not be known until the blaze is put out.

Firefighters called for mutual aid to work the blaze.
