Former youth minister pleads guilty to 6 counts of sexual assault of child

A former youth minister plead guilty today to six counts of sexual assault of a child.

Joshua Luke McDonald, 36,  of Bridge City, pleaded guilty after being accused of having sexual relations with two victims under teh age of 17 over a two-year period. He remains in jail on a $10,000 bond for each charge.

In an interview with 12News HD in February, one of his victims said she first met McDonald at First Baptist Church in Bridge City where he was a youth minister. She said the abuse began in January 2011 when she was 15-years-old. 

He is scheduled to be sentenced by a jury August 11 at 9:30 a.m. in the 128th District Court
