Hardin County man critical after tractor drags him 25 feet

An elderly Lumberton man is critically injured when a tractor he is working on ran him over.

According to Chief Robert Simonson, Lumberton Fire, the incident happened just before 11:30 a.m. Authorities say when they arrived on scene located in the 300 block of Creekwood Street emergency workers found the man suffering from multiple injuries. Official say the man was working on the tractor when the tractor fell out of gear. The victim in his 70's was dragged roughly 25 feet before the tractor stopped. Due to his injuries the victim was air lifted to Christus St. Elizabeth.

Hardin County Sheriff's Office is investigating the accident.
