TORONTO, May 6, 2014 /CNW/ - This Wednesday, as part of Canadian Music Week, Bear Flag Wine announces Bear Flag Fest, a rich, branded national music tour that ties the Bear Flag Wine brand to indie bands, popular nightlife venues, and national music events; integrating unique sampling and association with creative culture. Ads across select video, mobile and social lifestyle properties promote the Summer Tour and seed #BFF content across Canada.

The key objective of the campaign is to generate awareness for Bear Flag Wine, but with a specific focus on celebrating and supporting The Creative Class. Bear Flag Fest blends progressive festival sponsorships with innovative content creation to extend conversion with the brand's target audience. The tour includes stops at Canadian Music Week, Seahorse Tavern Halifax, Toronto's NXNE and Pemberton Music Fest, among others.

"We believe in the dreamers, the naysayers and the contrarians that are looking for more of an experience and less of a passive communication by advertisers," says Kai Exos, Curator of Bear Flag Fest 2014. "We all spend our days trying to make something special, and those that do that really should be honoured for strengthening our communities."

Unique editorial content is posted to www.bearflagfest.com to extend reach to a national audience. Features on indie bands, highlights on local vendors and general promotion on community-led events will be the core focus of the online property.

At each venue, Bear Flag has sponsored Green Room Takeovers with reclaimed rustic elements and a decidedly modern twist, echoing the brand's values, layered in with branding to create experiences and backdrops for engaging video content. Social-mobile triggers at each venue call up Bear Flag content and prompt for engagement.

Bear Flag Wine, a unique California wine with unexpected blends, was conceived by a group of winemakers who wanted to create wines that reflected a side of California's rebellious spirit.  Rather than creating traditional wines, the group openly flouted the winemaking rules to craft a series of wine blends that defy convention.  The result is three distinctive blends - Dark Red, Soft White and Smooth Red.   Bear Flag Wine is available across Canada for around $13-$15.  At Bear Flag, we believe the only opinion that matters is your own.
