Port Arthur Police Search For Kidnapping Suspect

PORT ARTHUR - Port Arthur Police are looking for a suspect in an aggravated kidnapping.

Police say at approximately 3 a.m. a man was sitting in his car at the Fuel Depot Convenience Store on Gulfway Drive when he was approached by another man asking for a ride. 

According to police the victim agreed, but when the suspect got into his vehicle the suspect pulled out a handgun and demanded to be taken to Beaumont. 

The victim drove the suspect to a location near Washington Blvd. in Beaumont. Once at that location the victim was able to get away from the suspect and the suspect fled. The victim was not hurt. There is no description of the suspect.

Port Arthur police say an investigation in ongoing.
