Red Cross called in to help after fire destroys Bridge City home

A fire Friday night left a Bridge City house in ashes.

Firefighters were called to the home in the 3100 block of Texas Avenue at about 9:30 p.m.

A neighbor told 12News that four adults live in the home and three were in the house at the time of the fire.  All three made it out.

A neighbor also said it appears the fire was started by a small trash fire that was burning in the back yard.

Bridge City, West Orange, Pinehurst and McLewis fire departments all worked the blaze.

The American Red Cross is assisting the people who were displaced.

There were no injuries reported.
