DPS will reconstruct Lumberton collision that claimed 3 lives

The Department of Public Safety will seek more details of a fatal collision Wednesday.  Troopers at 9 a.m. Wednesday will reconstruct  the triple-fatal Lumberton accident that claimed the lives of a 20-year-old pregnant woman, her unborn son, and her sister.

Parts of US-69 and US-96 will be closed, and detours will be set up.

Crystal Boyett, 40, is charged with manslaughter in the case.

According to 12News file stories, a Lumberton Police Department spokesperson said Boyett was traveling at more than 100 mph when she hit the vehicle occupied by Courtney Sterling, 15, and  Connely Burns, 20, who was pregnant.
