Vidor High School students charged in vandalism at Vidor Middle School


A spokesperson for the Vidor Independent School District told 12News that two Vidor High School students are in juvenile detention after being charged in connection with graffiti at Vidor Middle School. 

The students are charged with a state jail felony, section 2808, graffiti.

The vandalism happened March 26. Security officers were doing routine checks of school property.  As they drove onto the campus of the middle school the officers headlights hit two young people spray painting the building. When the officer exited the unit to apprehend the two, they fled on foot from the scene.

An investigation by the Vidor Police Department resulted in the teen's arrest.
