Vidor ISD investigating vandalism at middle school

The Vidor Independent School District Police Department is investigating a case of vandalism at the district's middle school.

Vidor ISD spokesperson Sally Andrews told 12News the vandalism happened at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Andrews said security officers were doing routine checks of school property.  As they drove onto the campus of the middle school the officers headlights hit two young people spray painting the building. When the officer exited the unit to apprehend the two, they fled on foot from the scene.

Vidor Police is investigating several leads.
