Robbers shoot Jasper County employee who was returning home

The Jasper County Sheriff's Office is looking for three men who shot a man as he returned home to find them breaking into his house.

It happened around noon Friday on County Road 823 near Highway 62 in Buna.

The homeowner, Doug Bean, is an employee for Precinct 4 Jasper County Commissioner Vance Moss.

Bean was rushed to Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth in Beaumont to undergo surgery.

The Sheriff's office says the three men got away in a gold or tan older model Chevrolet car with a license plate number that starts with the letter "c." They were last seen heading south on Highway 62.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Jasper County Sheriff's Office.
