Deputies identify Bolivar homicide victims; looking for suspect's SUV

Detectives with the Galveston County Sheriff's Office late Friday afternoon identified the two women found dead behind a dumpster at Port Bolivar and released a picture of what they say is a suspect's vehicle.

A Sheriff's Office spokesperson says the bodies of Britney Cosby, 24, of Houston and Crystal Jackson, 24 also of Houston were were found behind Fisherman's Cove Food Mart & Convenience Store at 807 Texas Highway 87.  This is near the ferry landing.

The two women's bodies were discovered behind a dumpster at the store around 7:45 a.m. by a beer delivery man.

Authorities say the bodies had not been at the location for very long.

Authorities are now looking for a silver 2006 Kia Sorento. They say the car should have unknown paper tags because it was identified as being stolen.

Lt. Ron Hill with the Galveston County Sheriff's Office said the investigation is still early on and they are working to find out how the women died.

"The medical examiner's office collected the bodies and transported them to the Galveston County ME's office, and they will be doing the autopsy probably tomorrow and hopefully we will be able determine a time and cause of death," said Lt. Hill.

Lt. Hill said that there were visible signs of trauma.
