No injuries reported in Port Arthur house fire

A family of four is staying with relatives following a house fire Thursday morning.

Port Arthur firefighters were called to the family's home at 5233 E. 9th Street in Port Arthur around 9 a.m. Thursday.  This is near the intersection of Williams Avenue and 9th Street.

A man told 12News that he thinks electric heaters started the fire.  He said he had left the house to take his wife and child to the doctor.  While he was gone, he received a phone call that his house was on fire.

Most of the damage was to the rear of the house.

No other family members were home at the time of the fire and there were no injuries reported.

Fire officials have not yet said an official cause of the fire.
