Central has an eye on state

The Central Jaguars are bound for the UIL basketball regional tournament for the first time since 1999, when Skip Jackson hit a 75 foot shot to win the 5a regional against FB Dulles 55-52 in OT.

This year's Central team has posted wins over Humble, Waller and Plugerville Connally to advance to the 4a regional at the Merrell Center in Katy.

The Jaguars will face Friendswood Friday night in the first game at 6 PM followed by Nederland against FB Marshall.
