"We designed the new MBA curriculum to be very rigorous. Students successfully completing this program will come away with a very well rounded understanding of how business works, and will have developed an excellent set of tools to bring back into the workplace," said Dr. David Lady, the Provost for ILM and the architect of the new program. "We have put together a great group of dedicated faculty from some of the top schools in the country that believe in what we are doing here at ILM. They are going to challenge students using both traditional and emerging instructional methods. Our expectation is that graduates of this program will compete at all levels of business bringing both time tested ideas to the table as well as newly developed innovations and outlooks."
The new program design incorporates traditional MBA courses with a supply chain emphasis, as well as a heavy focus on research and developing an international strategic view of firms and markets. "This is a strategic move for us. We have put together The Graduate School at ILM to stand alongside our current undergraduate courses so we may fully deliver the 21st century education the market is asking for," notes Jay Brennan, the ILM CEO. "We are out there working with top global supply chain firms every day. They tell us roughly two out of every five management positions remains unfilled due to lack of well-educated applicants. One of our main goals here at ILM is to correct that."
"Unlike many online programs, the ILM MBA builds to a research thesis that will allow students to focus their interest and learnings on a new insight or unique contribution to their field with the support of the school and our traditional academic resources," Frank Breslin, the ILM Dean emphasized. "The new program has a very modern teaching centric design. Our focus here is teaching excellence and student success, and you sure can't get a greater value for the price."
