A spokesperson for the Chambers County Sheriff's Office Thursday told 12news that a dozen suspects have been arrested on warrants of burglary and thefts that happened in the Winnie area.
Patrol deputies started early Tuesday morning, and by the end of the day, executed over 20 warrants resulting in the 12 arrests.
Patrol Sergeants Bonnie McLaughlin and Brent Abernathy, along with Patrol deputies Chris Burt, Luke Clement, Robert Nobles and Cornelius Roundtree executed the warrants obtained by CID Sergeant Shane Arredondo.
The suspects arrested are identified as Alex Segura, Casey Jones, Kade Clark, Erwin Menard, Josh Menard, Melissa Lewis, Collin Prewitt, Misty Paris, Wesley Bertrand, Shawna-Michelle Holmes, Edward Rigsby and Blake Thomassee. All are from the Winnie area except for Prewitt who is from the Highlands area.
The Chambers County Sheriff's Office is continuing its investigation of these crimes and additional charges may be filed.
