Report: Military plane crashes in Algeria, killing at least 99

A military plane crashed Tuesday in the mountains of eastern Algeria, killing at least 99 people, Algerian state radio reported.

The plane was carrying 123 people, including women and children, and was flying from Wergla airport near Tamanrasset in southern Algeria to Setif in the east, the outlet reported.

There was a snowstorm in the area when the plane went down, witnesses told the radio network.
