Driver charged in triple fatal accident taken into custody

The driver charged in an accident that killed a pregnant woman and her sister has been taken into custody.

Crystal Lummus Boyett, 40, of Kirbyville was arrested this afternoon at her parents home in Kirbyville.

Hardin County Justice of the Peace Judge Butch Cummings set three bonds for Boyett at $500,000 each.

A Lumberton Police Spokesperson told 12News that Boyett was clocked at speeds as high as 150 MPH moments before her Camaro collided with another car killing Connely Rene Burns, 20, of Lumberton, her unborn baby and sister, Courtney Ray Sterling, 15, of Lumberton.

Boyett has been charged with three counts of manslaughter.
