PESHAWAR, Pakistan (CNN) -- An explosion happened outside a Shia Muslim mosque in northwest Pakistan on Tuesday night, killing at least six people and injured 32 others, a hospital representative said.
The blast in Peshawar was a suicide attack, said the city's police superintendent, Faisal Mukhtar.
A spokesman for the Pakistani Taliban, Shahidullah Shahid, said his group had no connection to the blast.
The death toll was given by Jamil Shah, a representative of Peshawar's Lady Reading Hospital.
