A Beaumont Independent School District assistant principal who is accusing another administrator of retaliation will take her case before the school board Thursday night.
Sharon Hendrix accuses Assistant Superintendent Patricia Lambert of demoting her after Hendrix reported Lambert to the Texas Education Agency for allegedly tampering with grades.
Hendrix claims Lambert manipulated student scores in a way that cost Hendrix's daughter C'Brionne the Salutatorian status. That's the student with the second highest grade point average.
C'Brionne has filed a lawsuit against BISD and Lambert over the matter.
At the time, Hendrix was associate principal at Central Medical Magnet School, the number two spot. But she says Lambert moved her to the lower position of assistant principal at Pathways Learning Center, the district's alternative school campus.
Hendrix had wanted her grievance heard publicly, but according to Thursday's agenda, the board will hear it in executive session behind closed doors.
